Glass Cutting Mat?

Hello Everyone and Happy Thursday!

To all my american followers...Happy Thanksgiving and I hope you have a great one with your loved ones.

Yesterday I was in Wal Mart looking for a glass mat since I read that the MS circle cutter will perform better when used with a glass mat. Well, I couldn't found one so I called my local scrapbook store and she didn't have one either! Oh my, what do I do? I need a glass mat so bad for I'm doing a lot of circle cutting and not wanting to use my cricut for it's in another room! Well, I don't know if this has occurred to you, but while I was putting my little one down for her afternoon nap I thought: Why not use the glass from an old picture frame? So there I went and took the glass from a broken picture frame that I had the intention to repair and took the glass out. I layed the glass onto a self healing cutting mat just in case it would brake while using it. Got my MS circle cutter and oh boy did it ever did a wonderful job! It cut with no problem whatsoever! I tried different sizes and papers as well as cardstock and it did cut like knife in butter. Now, I need to figure out to cut circles around printed images and/or photos. As soon as I figure it out, I'll make a photo tutorial for it just to have it here so if anyone of you need it then you know where to go :)

So now you don't have to spend money on an expensive glass cutting mat, just use the glass on one of your old picture frames, or and old coffee table, or and end table whatever is that you have :)

P.S. You can also go to your local glass repair shop or any place that they cut glass...it might be a little expensive but if you don't have any piece of glass laying around then this will do.

Have a good crafting day!

I really enjoy the pregnancy stage :)

Enjoy your day and happy crafting! :)

I used SCAL to cut the poinsetta and the Merry Christmas

Heat embossed the poinsettas

Here I used CTMH set of stamps and heat embossing

This is just flock paper and the bow was made using the Bow Easy

Again, just paper and digi stamps from digital delights colored with BIC markers as I don't have Copics yet :(

I used SCAL to cut the trees. I got the file from SVGcuts.com

Happy Thanksgiving!

Hi Everyone,

I want to wish to all my canadian followers and friends a Happy Thankgiving!
I'm thankful for having a wonderful family and extended family and my very few friends. I'm also thankful for having you as my followers and crafty friends.
I'm working on a lot of stuff for my first xmas craft show ever! I'm being brave enough to actually sell my creations. I'm very excited and nervous at the same time; I have no idea how this is going to go, but hey it's all about having fun! If they don't sell, I'll give them away!

Here are some cards I've created lately. Later on, I'll post more pictures of my other creations.

On this card, I used a digi stamp for my greeting and the paper stack I've had for over a year now and really didn't use it until now. I loooove this paper and I can't remember where I got it from...most likely from Michaels :)

Here again, I used another digi stamp, spellbinders nestabilities, my cuttlebug and my cricut to cut the snowflake which gave it a 3D look using UTEE and my heat gun.

Another digi stamp! I actually have quite a few, but never get to use them. I kinda forget I have them for I don't have the computer in my craft room...that's why I want a laptop so I don't have to run from room to room just to cut and/or print!

Cuttlebug folder Christmas Tree I believe is called was used and Stampin' Up markers and stickles to give that glittery look to the tree.

I used a circle punch and one of my cuttlebug folders and some stickles. Oh and I also used the clear Grafix sheet
These are called peel off's. I don't know if any of you has seen these ones before, but I love them. I'm working on a video tutorial on how to use these as one of my followers and friend asked to. It's a little messy, but I love the results!

To make this circle, I used my MS circle cutter that I was hating until I watched a tutorial on how to use it! and now I'm glad I bought it :)
Have a fun weekend and for my canadian followers, Happy Thanksgiving!

P.S. These two last ones, I made really quick for my hubby's bosses!

My Second Painting

Hi Everyone!

Well here are the rest of the paintings I did on the other canvases. I haven't done anymore since I want to get good brushes so the pictures look more real. The first picture is the same as the one on my fist post, but this time I tried with oil paint instead. The rest are acrylic paint.

Have a good crafting day!

My First Painting Evaaaa!!!

Hello everyone!

Well I'm back after my holidays and I apologize for not updating sooner. I've been pretty busy getting ready for a Christmas Craft Sale that is going on in November in a small town near mine. Did I mention this is my first craft sale ever? Yes, it is and I'm so nervous. I'm trying to make lots of cards (that I'll be posting later on) for Christmas and every other occasion, picture frames, embellished candles and a lot more that I know how to do, but never get actually to do it!
On the other hand, I discovered a new hobbie and it has kept me busy for the last two nights!! (very late nights!) I was watching TV (I don't watch much tv) and as I was flipping through the channels, I stopped to watch the Ellen Degeneres Show on a channel I never watch for I thought it was kinda boring...WRONG!!! they have small classes of painting on canvases. Oh my!!! I LOVED what the instructor painted, I was so captivated by what you can do with a couple of brushes and some paint! that I decided to give it a try with my craft acrylic paints (he used oil). So off to my room I went after putting  my little one down for a nap and here it is my very first painting eveeeerrr!

Sooo what do you think? It's supposed to be a lake view on a wintery day thus the "snow" on the trees and on the "land." I'm really pleased with the results...to be my very first time trying to paint and actual landscape on a canvas. I didn't know I could pull it off, apparently I can and THAT makes me very happy.
Later on, I'll be posting my second attempt at painting, but this time I actually went to Wal*Mart and bought some oil paint. I hope you like it and why not, you could give it a try too!
PS. The canvases I got at my local dollar store :)

Talk to you later!
